Will One Direction Reunite? Simon Cowell's 'Gut Feeling' Is Yes — Maybe Within 5 Years

Ever since One Direction went on an indefinite hiatus in 2016, fans online have been theorizing about once and if they'll ever get back with each other. Yet as each member started to find solo success, the odds of a reunion began to feel even slimmer. Still, the fandom hasn't lost all hope, and who better to comment on the likelihood of a 1D reunion than Simon Cowell, the man accountable for putting them with each other on The X Factor in 2010?


"My gut feeling is yes," Cowell mentioned any time asked about the possibility of a reunion on 96-107 FM's Heart Breakfast. "I mean, they're all doing fantastic solo-wise at the moment, although they had a lot of hits. You know, they could do tour right after tour soon after tour. Know, you can sell out a One Direction gig — a stadium tour — in about twenty seconds."


But Cowell didn't stop there. The America's Got Talent judge even gave us a timeline, guessing that the musical group would likely hit the road again with each other "within five years." "As far as I am concerned, I am happy doing what I am doing," he mentioned. Nevertheless the day that [a reunion] does happen, and each person is willing to do it, I am ready."


Niall Horan doesn't seem instead of the idea of a One Direction reunion, either, telling Metro that he doesn't think "any of us would need major, major convincing."
