Parasite's TV Adaptation Will Explore All The 'Hidden Stories' The Film Didn't

Bong Joon-ho's Parasite has taken the world by storm. The Palme d'Or-winning feature is up for several Academy Awards, and it's slowly been invading our cultural lexicon.


So it was hardly surprising any time it was confirmed that it could be adapted into a English-language limited series on HBO. Although what would it cover? Would it be a retelling of the film we've already seen, or would it be a sequel of some sort?


Specifics were slim as soon as the series was first reported, however thanks to a new interview with The Wrap, right now we have an inkling of what to expect.


"All these key ideas accumulated from Once I began writing the script," Bong mentioned of the upcoming series.
