Carly Rae Jepsen Can Only Say 'OMG' On Lovesick New Gryffin Song

Carly Rae Jepsen is goofily grinning, blushing, and perhaps stumbling as she sings the sickeningly-sweet "OMG," the new single that she's featured on by DJ and producer Gryffin. She comes to the realization that, hey, true love exists! It happens once her partner's fingers brush against her skin, raising those barely visible hairs to full attention. Over the course of the song, she grows deeper and deeper in love as she closes her eyes and smiles while exploring the heights of her happiness. She's head-over-heels in love and it also has to feel good.


"OMG" is so cheery and bright that if the beach had a default song that could be carried by the wind, it could be this, softly swimming in your ears and coming out of seashells on the sand. It's all clear skies and moderately warm temperatures where CRJ is at and the sheer joy in her voice should let it be known. She begins off the song with the sort of declaration of love that could make haters roll their eyes and stick their tongue out, fake gagging. "I'm technical, however I lose sensibility/When you're next to me/I feel a boom, feel the bang indoor my soul, love," she intones blushing. Cue the innocent canoodling. Her chorus of "Like, oh, my god, ooh, think I could love you/'Cause I only fancied a lot of things before  I knew/The way I love it whenever you touch me right now is adorable in a public display of affection kind-of-way. As she and her partner sashay into the sunset, it is irrelevant if those watching them are sick to their stomachs. CRJ and her hubby's happiness are all that matters.


Carly Rae Jepsen released her fourth studio album Dedicated in May. On the day of its release, she shared the ridiculously wild video for "Too Much," featuring her smashing cake with a few clones.
